I failed the PD2 exam twice now and im passing every test on here and doing well on answering the questions on their own . I read through the concepts and understand the functionality of the tools and features. However, when i get to the exam i get hit with granular questions about what exact methods are called in a batch process tests set. OR Here is a block of code count the number of DML calls and we sprinkled in a Data base save point and roll back just to make it confusing.
I believe the test inst about understanding functionality and the tools but more about minute details they pulled out of page 13 of that one obscure method that rarely gets used.
Passed my Platform Dev II multiple choice test! Pretty much only used FocusOnForce to pass it. I recommend using the FocusOnForce study guide and the practice tests. I don’t remember a single question on the test concerning Lightning. Thanks Martin for putting together this awesome resource!

I passed the multiple choices exam today. FocusonForce practice exams provide a really good path to prepare it, it is really helpful.
Compare with Developer 1 (pass all practice exams will pretty much take you pass the exam), Developer II is a lot harder and only take the practice exams may not be enough.
The practice exam did covers majority knowledge points, but the questions in the exam may be asked in different way or different perspective. Almost no questions are exactly same. Since knowledge domain is a lot bigger, in addition to practice exams you may need some additional effort to prepare.

Great effort! I am sitting my exam soon. I know that each exam can be different but were there many questions with code that had to be read and understood? How prevalent were lightning based questions?

Can we write PD2 MCQ exam before completing super badges?
If so, within in what period of time i have to submit super badges after taking MCQ exam ?
Also, is pass percentage of MCQ exam is 63%? If I take the exam without completing super badges will the exam result be shown?
The only prerequisite for taking the MCQ is PD1. If you check the exam guide, it shows that the super badges and the MCQ can be done in parallel. Once both are completed then you get the PDII certification.

Took PD2 exam a few weeks ago and failed. Revisited my weak areas and passed today!

i cleared PD2 examination. Thankyou so much. Because of this course, I was able to pass this exam. Idea is to understand the concept not code
I found that the actual exam was easy than the practice exams.
I think that is because the practice exams are testing knowledge by asking specific questions in lots of different areas.
The actual exam is more a test of experience and hands on experience. I recommend doing the super badges first.
I passed this PD2 multiple choice exam today. It’s harder than the practice exams. It has many Apex code to read to figure out what the correct answer is. In addition to memorize the facts in each topic, train yourself to read lots of Apex code in triggers and classes and quickly conclude what they do. Now I can put this behind and move on to the 4 super badge projects.
I passed the Developer II Multiple Choice Transition Exam Today. I plant to continue to use FocusOnForce since it is such a great tool to prep for the exam and much more. I think continuing to use this tool and Salesforce Trailheads I will be successful at completing the second part to become PDII certified. Thank you for making this website so great and affordable.
