He is a successful Solutions Architect who’s here to share his Salesforce journey and give you an inspiration and motivation to keep learning and experiencing Salesforce.
Please introduce yourself and tell us what your day to day looks like.
My name is Ahmad Karshah and my role is Solutions Architect. My day is divided into 2 big activities I am handling them in the company - first one is Salesforce and second one is IoT. In the company, we’re implementing Salesforce for our clients as a CRM platform. My role is to work on the implementation with the team, resolve any issues and deliver the project on time. With Salesforce I am running the IoT activities in the company, now the world’s devices are getting to be connected from the smallest device to the big machine in the factories, data generated from these devices helps companies understand the current process deeply and plan to enhance it. My responsibilities in IoT activity is to lead the development cycle of many projects we’re working on in the company and participate in the development.
How and why did you get started with Salesforce?
To be honest, it was a beautiful accident! When I joined my current company they were planning to have a partnership with Salesforce, I was the only candidate to handle the technical part and achieve what the partnership requires. I started to discover the platform and found that it is an amazing platform - you can do anything with it! Developing a small app can take nothing compared with other platforms, developing an environment was totally free! All these factors give me the motivation to dive deeper into the platform and decide to make it my favorite.

What were your goals when starting?
First of all, it was to understand the platform, build a business model for my company and then creating an opportunity to myself to put my name on the AppExchnage store. So far, it is going great and I’m keeping myself motivated to achieve even more with this great platform!
What was the most challenging part of learning Salesforce?
Finding training resources! Before I found Focus on Force website I struggled with finding a good resource to use to prepare for the exam as well as understand the platform deeply. I found in Focus on Force materials what I am looking for.
It does not matter if you’re an expert in a specific field or technology, you need a guide to drive you in a new way.
How did Focus on Force study guides and practice exams help with your preparation?
Well, Focus on Force material is extremely recommended for people who don’t have enough time to study, like me. The study guides and practice exams are helping me to get very concentrated information in a short period. Also, they are very useful and I highly recommend them to everyone who is serious in the process of learning Salesforce.

What certifications have you achieved so far?
For Salesforce Certificates I have Salesforce App Builder and Salesforce Platform Developer I.
Do you plan to achieve more Salesforce certifications in the future and which one is next?
Sure, definitely I have in mind to keep going and earn more Salesforce certifications in the future. I think the Salesforce Platform Developer II will be the next.
How do you plan to use these certificates?
Thanks to these Salesforce certifications I can help my clients to have the best results from the Salesforce platform by employing my knowledge and experience to give them exactly what they need. What tips and advice do you have for others who are in the process of preparing and studying for a SalesForce certification and keep motivated?
Any IT expert must believe that the top goal in his career is to help people have an easier life. Also, I encourage others to challenge themselves to achieve more! It is a very good experience to work with Salesforce platform - there’s the power of the platform, the unlimited support from the Salesforce community, the good amount of connections you can get, and wider horizon of work that Salesforce opens for you!
