I had just one full day to prepare and I spent that in going through the course and take couple of practice tests from FocusofForce. I would say it helped a lot to brush up the concepts and nuances.
One suggestion in general – please update your certification names to match with current
The passing score for service cloud consultant certification is 67% as per spring 2019 release
Hi Mounica, thank you for your feedback. The Service Cloud information page has been updated.
I would like to thank Martin Gessner and his team for the great work they have done.
His courses contributed to obtaining Service Cloud certification.
I will continue with you for other certifications. :)
Passed Service Cloud using nothing but these materials. Great work FocusonForce.
Thanks again for the material. Have immediately signed up for Sales Cloud.
Thanks @FocusOnForce for this course. This was a tremendous resource for me in preparing for the exam – great job of aggregating all of the different sources into one place. Was able to to pass the exam within 5 days after purchasing the study guide. Would definitely recommend this website to others.
Congratulations on passing the exam! We are glad the materials helped, and thank you for the support.
Hello Martin,
With your Service Cloud course, could manage to crack Service Cloud certification in first attempt. Your course is so well designed with all the concepts in details including screen shots which really helped me to understand concepts very well. One thing, I felt exam is more focussed on Lighthening concepts rather Salesforce Classic so may be in future you may have to update it only for Service Cloud Lightening. Otherwise, course is well structured and would highly recommend to my friends. Thank you for putting this together !
Hi Tarun, congratulations on passing the exam! We are glad the materials helped. We have also noted your feedback regarding Lightning vs Classic.
Thank you – Martin. FocusOnForce paved the way once again. I passed the SF Service Cloud Consultant exam, this past Friday 2/22/19.
Thank you.

Just want to say thank you for the great study guide. Today was the last day to take a cert towards partner points deadline for consultancy status’. After i accidentally overspent my time on Assassins Creed, I had roughly eight hours to study. Read the guide and passed first time (i also got to level 48 which means im nearly there!!!) . Anyhow very grateful guys.
Congrats on passing the exam and reaching level 48!
Great course! Read the study guide – took the practice tests – pass the Service Cloud cert on first try.
Nice work!
Hi Martin,
I purchased your Service Cloud Study Guide course back in November and I’m hoping to complete it at the end of January. I checked the Winter ’19 Exam Guide created by Salesforce and I noticed the section weightings have changed dramatically from what you have in your course (weightings listed below are from the new exam guide):
Industry Knowledge – 22%
Implementation Strategies – 19%
Service Cloud Solution Design – 19%
Case Management – 11%
There is no longer a section devoted to the Service Console, but it is likely mixed in with the other sections.
The other section weightings are roughly the same weighting as indicated in your course.
Are there are plans to update section weightings according to the new Winter ’19 Exam Guide?
Thanks,
Randy
Hi Randy, it looks like Salesforce have reverted back to Spring 18. What is there now, is what we had previously. We did a lot of work to update it, and now it has reverted back.
It doesn’t look correct to me. I have raised a query with Salesforce and am waiting for an answer.
For example the whole Service Console section has been removed. The case management section again includes references a retired feature ‘Salesforce for Twitter and Facebook’. Case management section has removed references to newer features, quick text, macros, quick actions. The objective related to Lightning Knowledge has been removed.
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the quick response! Let me know what you find out from Salesforce. I had saved a copy of the Summer 18 Exam Guide on my PC and noticed, as well, that it contains the same breakdown as your course, so like you, I’m hoping it’s just a mistake on Salesforce’s part.
Thanks, again!
Randy
Hi Martin,
Is there any update on this?
Kind regards,
Joseph
Hi Joseph, Salesforce updated the Winter ’19 exam guide for Service Cloud and we have updated our materials in line with that.
Hi Martin,
I just checked on the new Trailhead Site for Certification info, and it looks like Salesforce has reverted back to the Service Cloud area weightings to what you had here previously (Industry Knowledge 10% – instead of 22%, a Service Console section worth 15%, etc.). Now it looks like you’ve updated course to what Salesforce had in Spring ’18, but it should match what they had in Summer ’18). You can find the Winter ’19 Exam Guide here: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/credentials/servicecloudconsultant, and the actual updated guide is now here: https://developer.salesforce.com/resources2/certification-site/files/SGCertifiedServiceCloudConsultant.pdf.
I’m so sorry that you seem to be getting the run around on this!!!
Thanks, again, for all the great work you’ve done here!
Randy
Hi Randy, thank you for sharing that. The weightings are now updated in line with the latest Winter ’19 Service Cloud exam guide.
Hi Martin, did you ever get any update from Salesforce on this? Was it just a publishing mistake on Salesforce’s part, or have they actually reverted back to the previous exam format? I am planning on preparing for it, and would be good to know what I need to study.
Hi Ahmed, Salesforce updated the exam guide recently. It looks like it was a publishing mistake.

Hey Martin,
The study notes that you have, have they been updated regarding that salesforce has changed the service cloud exam for winter 19?
Hi Kaycee, the materials have been updated in line with the official exam guide for Winter 19.
