Note

Please be informed that Focus On Force has recently updated this Certification Course to reflect a more modern, stylish and accessible UI.

As you may have observed, we have cleaned up the Main Lesson Page to only show the Main Objectives, Mindmap (also available in Topic pages), and Feedback -- allowing you to have a more clutter-free workspace. We have created separate Topic Pages for each detailed objective which you can access at the left hand side of the page. Upon clicking, you will be presented with the Detailed Objectives under the Section that you have chosen. Additionally, we have put "Topic Progress" indicators which could guide you better on your progress.

For mobile users:
On the Main Course Page, you will see the Lesson Table wherein Percentages and Sections are listed. On the upper right hand side of the table, you will see options to "Expand All" and "Collapse All". If you click on "Expand All", it will give you the option to pick which objective you would like to access.

I’d like to say that this material helped me a lot passing the JavaScript exam today. I didn’t even read the materials, just watched all the videos while making my notes in the last 4 days. Also, kudos for the instructor Mr. Steven that manage to make those complicated topics incredible easy to understand, even for a non-native English speaker. Thanks!

Awesome news, Douglas! Thank you for sharing your experience. Congratulations on clearing the exam, the team is happy to know that we are able to help!

Congratulations on passing the JavaScript Developer 1 certification exam! We are thrilled to hear that our study guide and practice exams were helpful in your preparation.

Regarding your question, we currently do not have a study guide and practice exams available for the B2C Commerce Developer certification. However, we appreciate your interest in this certification and encourage you to add your vote for it on our feature request page via this link: https://focusonforce.com/feature-requests/commerce-cloud/

Thank you for choosing Focus on Force, and we wish you continued success in your certification journey.

Just passed my Javascript exam last Saturday, only using Focus on Force Guide and Test Exams.
The Certification Test was almost identical to the questions found here. The questions maybe different but covered topics where all the same you can found in this course.
This is the second Certification I get studying with Focus on Force materials so thank you very much for bringing this very valuable study materials.

I just passed using the materials here and a combination of YouTube videos. Thank you soooooooo much for the material! I couldn’t have done it without it!

Kenneth, this is wonderful news. Thanks for sharing this to everyone. I feel that there will be a lot more users like you who will be even more motivated to tackle their own certifications with the help of our materials. A milestone worth celebrating! Cheers!

Hello Ashok! We highly don’t encourage printing the study guide as we are constantly updating it and improving it. A printed version would soon be out of date and might affect your study preparations in a not so positive way.

  4. Diane Clayton

I’ve gone throught the study guides and got high marks in the practice exams but I’ve failed this exam twice now. I’m not sure whether to give up. Any suggestions?

    1. FOF Moderator

Hi Diane, thanks for the inquiry. The topics covered in the study guides and practice exams are concentrated on the objectives in the exam outline. We recommend you taking the practice exams over and over until you obtain the highest score possible. It’s highly recommended also to reference trailhead and other Salesforce documentation when you encounter topics that may still not be very clear to you, or you may post your inquiries here or in the feedback forums. Lastly, it’s best to gain more hands-on experience in the Salesforce platform especially if you don’t work with it on a regular basis.

Passed the exam today. As always the questions are shorter. But it took me almost all allotted time to complete the exam. In general the study guides and exam questions are top-notch, there’s little discrepancy.

  6. BaSiL

Hello, I completed all 9 modules of the JavaScript Developer Study Guide. I am now doing the TOPIC Practice Exams ony by one.

For anyone who passed the SF JavaScript Exam – do you have any suggestions &/or tips before scheduling the exam?

Also, are exam takers allowed to have writing paper during the exam?

    Thanks In Advance!!

    1. Ian Focus Team

Hi BaSiL, thanks for the enquiry. Keep on retaking each practice and topic exam until you get the highest possible score. Please make sure you really master the objectives especially the ones with the highest weightings such as Variables, Types, and Collections (23%), Objects, Functions, and Class (25%), Browser and Events (17%), and Asynchronous Programming (13%). Do not memorize the questions and make sure you understand every concept (code, logic, syntax, structure, methods, etc..) that is covered in the study guide and as to why an answer/option is correct or incorrect in an exam.

For online proctored exams, writing on paper or any writing material is not allowed. For onsite proctored exams though, they may provide you a pen and paper (at least in my experience). If you plan to take the online proctored exams, kindly read through this https://focusonforce.com/certification/tips-salesforce-certification-online-proctored-exam/

Hi Charles, thanks for the enquiry. Please check out these trailhead modules as they contain lots of code examples that you can try out locally on your machine: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/content/learn/trails/learn-to-work-with-javascript. As for the related superbadge that requires code work to complete, you’re probably referring to the last module (Lightning Web Components Specialist) here: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/users/strailhead/trailmixes/prepare-for-your-salesforce-javascript-developer-i-credential.
