Hi, I am taking the test in 1 week, i see some comments about outdated content, is it update to date now ? Can you please clarify ?
Hi Ara, we are currently in the process of updating for the Winter ’20 exams. The release which the exam is based on was changed by Salesforce this week.
When is the update be done (approximately)? How much is the new change (%) — in case Ara can’t wait for the update? Thanks.
Hi Pearl, we aim to finish the updates by the first week of January. It is difficult to quantify how many changes were made, some seem important while others are minor.
Salesforce has a video where they talk about the Winter ’20 release highlights for Sales Cloud. I think it can be useful (not only for the exam, but also for your overall Salesforce knowledge) if you have time to watch it:
https://www.salesforce.com/video/6655647/
So following your sources , exams have changed to winter 20′ already ?
Hi, yes, the official Salesforce exam changed to Winter ’20 on December 6th, and our update is in the process and will be done within a few weeks. However, most of the topics remain the same, so you can prepare for your exam normally.
Just passed today. Thanks for the course and tests. Very helpful
Hi Michael, congrats on passing the exam, it’s great to hear that our materials helped!
Have the practice exams for FoF been updated to reflect the new content or are the questions the same as they were at the beginning of the Summer ’19 release?
Hi Kathryn, the Sales Cloud materials were updated recently to reflect the new changes made to the exam guide mid-release.
I was wondering sitting the Sales Cloud certification exam by the end of Nov’ 19. It seems that people are already facing massive change in their exam compare to the ones in Focus on Force, what would you suggest between sitting the exam quickly in order to get the summer 19′ version or wait till mid december to take the winter 19′ one in accord with the current study guide ? Thanks in advance
If you are scoring fairly well on the practice exams and you are confident about your knowledge on Sales Cloud, I suggest that you take the exam by the end of this month (Summer ’19 release).
If you decide to take it mid-December, you would have to be ready with sufficient knowledge of the Winter ’20 updates. There is also a slight chance that the coverage would change (we normally wait until the official exam guides are updated for Winter ’20), although that is unlikely since Salesforce just did a huge update on the exam recently as you mentioned.
Hi FOF team,
Targeting this cert early next year. Pls. let me know if the content here is in par with the coverage for the exam. Do you anticipate any changes to the pattern/content? Appreciate the guidance which will help me get through this.
Hi Vina, thanks for your interest in our course. The Sales Cloud exam was recently updated, some new sections are added and some old topics are updated. We are still in progress on updating them, but the core topics remain the same.
Tried the Sales Cloud Consultant exam yesterday, felt very comfortable (actually there is a lot more to study in some topics for me) as my practiceexams all worked well. But this one was harder than the admin and the app plattform developer, by far more difficult (and not as exactly on point as the other practiceexams, what is totally acceptable of course.) I recalculated my results and i have missed the goal by one question. ? Actually i know where to step up my knowledge, but this one is quite hard.
Hello,
is Sales cloud course material and practice exams updated based on new Sales cloud exam ? i.e. Summer 19
The Sales Cloud exam was recently updated, some new sections are added and some old topics are updated. We are still in progress on updating them, but the core topics remain the same.
I have been studying this course for a long time, did a lot of the Trailhead trailmix for the certification, and I have taken the practice tests too. I got 83%, 81%, 73% and 81% in the first attempts of the practice tests so I thought that I have prepared enough to pass the exam.
Finally, last Tuesday I tried to pass the official exam. But the exam questions were very different from the practice exams, with a lot of them not even sounded me from the course. Even I had to look at the exam title several times because I started to think that I had failed in choosing the correct one.
Finally, I didn´t pass the exam and I have calculated that I get about 50% (using the section-level scoring that SF sent me after the exam, I think that my mark was lower yet).
Now, I don´t know what I have to do to prepare the exam, because as I said, the course and the practice exams didn´t seem close to the real exam so that I think that repeat them in deep can not be the right way.
Any advice will be welcome.
Hi Javier, sorry to hear that you were not successful yet. The Sales Cloud exam was recently updated, with a few new sections and some updated ones. We are in progress on updating them, although the core topics remain the same. I would not focus on the %’s you get in the practice exams. While they are a guide, you should use the questions to make sure you understand the topics and why the correct answers are correct and test your overall understanding of the knowledge. We create material and practice questions on the topics listed in the exam guide, however, the exam guide is not going to list every single topic you need to know, so we suggest a combination of using our materials along with trailhead and practicing scenarios in your own org.
Is the Current course as of today is updated with changes you mentioned in the above comments. am taking exam in 2 weeks.

I just took the exam and agree with some of the others, the questions on the exam were very different and I didn’t feel as prepared as I expected after using FocusonForce study guide and practice exams. So many of the questions were completely different than any of the questions I encountered in my studies. Is the Sales Cloud material updated to reflect the current exam?
Hi Sarah, thank you for letting us know. We try our best to keep everything updated, especially when we receive feedback like yours. We will review the materials and improve what we can.
Hi,
IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES is 6% as per the link – https://developer.salesforce.com/resources2/certification-site/files/SGCertifiedSalesCloudConsultant.pdf
Why does your material say 12%?
Those are the weight percentages for the Winter ’19 release. The certification is now based on the Summer ’19 release and the weight percentages have changed. https://trailhead.salesforce.com/help?article=Salesforce-Certified-Sales-Cloud-Consultant-Exam-Guide
Hi, do you know for how long the certification will be based on Summer ’19 release before changing to Winter ’19?
Hi David, it will be sometime around the first half of December based on the date of last year’s release change.
Thanks Jaymalik and Sara!
Thanks for the guide + exams -> passed my Sales Cloud consultant exam today and your courses have become standard study material for me.
Congratulations on clearing the exam, Greg! We are happy to hear that our materials helped.
